French Riviera & Friendship

I just returned from an incredible girls’ cruise through France with Riverside Luxury Cruises, and I’m still glowing from every moment of it. There’s something magical about exploring France by river—gliding through charming towns, spending slow mornings with coffee on the deck, and stepping right off the ship into centuries of history, food, and culture.
One of the highlights of our trip was biking through the countryside to the Pont du Gard, a breathtaking Roman aqueduct that seems almost impossible in scale and beauty. Pedaling along peaceful paths with friends, surrounded by golden stone and bright autumn air, felt like something out of a storybook.

We also went truffle hunting, which ended up being far more fun (and delicious!) than any of us expected. With the help of our expert guide and very enthusiastic truffle-hunting dogs, we learned all about these culinary treasures—then tasted them in ways that completely spoiled us for life.

Another unforgettable stop was the Arles Amphitheater. Walking through such a massive, ancient structure—and imagining the crowds that once filled it—was a humbling moment. Also in Arles, we walked in the steps of Vincent Van Gogh on a guided tour that brought his artistic world to life. Arles itself is full of charm, history, and that unmistakable Provençal warmth.

Traveling with a group of amazing women made the experience even more special. There’s nothing better than exploring new places together, laughing over specialty dinners curated by Riverside, and making memories that we’ll be talking about for years. The experience created by Riverside complete with intimate violin concerts, wine tastings, and unforgettable culinary experiences has made all the difference.
And the good news? Our next ladies’ cruise is already planned! If you’d like to join us on another unforgettable journey with Riverside Luxury Cruises, contact me as soon as possible as spots are limited.
