After traveling to some of the most remote and extraordinary places on earth this year, I’ve been asked one question more than any other: What's been my favorite destination this year?
It’s the question I’ve been asked the most lately—and honestly, it’s nearly impossible to answer.
So far since February, my travels have taken me across the South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, and into parts of Europe—each destination offering something completely different, and equally unforgettable.
From the turquoise waters of Fiji and French Polynesia, to the rugged beauty of New Zealand, the cultural richness of Hungary and Austria, and the coastal charm of Croatia… every stop has left its mark.
One of the highlights earlier this year was sailing aboard Crystal Serenity from Lautoka, Fiji to Melbourne, Australia —a journey filled with vibrant island cultures, remote ports, golfing in far-off locations, and those moments that remind you just how vast and beautiful this world really is.
And just when I thought it couldn’t get more extraordinary…
In April, I embarked on an expedition voyage aboard Seabourn Pursuit —visiting some of the most remote places on earth:
Robinson Crusoe Island
Easter Island
Pitcairn Island
These aren’t just destinations—they’re places very few people will ever experience. Standing among the Moai on Easter Island, or stepping onto Pitcairn Island (made famous by Mutiny on the Bounty), with its amazing flora and fauna, felt less like travel and more like stepping into another world entirely.

And after weeks of exploration in some of the globe's most remote corners of the globe, I ended the journey in a completely different way—unwinding at The Brando in French Polynesia.
It was the perfect contrast: where expedition gave way to effortless luxury. Think pristine beaches, private villas, and a level of tranquility that’s hard to put into words. A place to slow down, reflect, and take it all in. It felt less like travel and more like entering another world entirely.
So… do I have a favorite?
Not exactly.
What I can say is this: each destination offered something unique—whether it was natural beauty, cultural depth, or pure remoteness. And sometimes, it’s not about choosing one over another—but about how they come together to create a truly unforgettable journey.
If any of these places have sparked your curiosity, I’d love to help you explore them in a way that feels just right for you.
